Basketball makes up much of the local Saturday schedule as various junior high and seventh grade teams will be in action.
The Anstaff Bank Junior High Tournament will begin at Alpena. In girls’ action, Bruno-Pyatt and St. Joe tip off at 10 a.m., and Marshall faces Omaha at noon. On the boys’ side, Bruno-Pyatt takes on Kingston at 11:00, and Marshall plays Omaha at 1:00.
The Cave City 7th Grade Tournament will be held at two different gyms.
All boys’ games will be held at the middle school with the exception of the championship game. Melbourne gets underway at 9:00 against Highland, Mountain Home will be paired with Pocahontas at 11:15, and Flippin meets Southside Batesville at noon.
The girls’ games will all be played at the high school. Flippin faces Highland at 9:45, Mountain Home takes on Cave City at 11:15, and Melbourne plays Southside at noon.
