NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) – The suspect in a 2015 fatal shooting in North Little Rock who was free on bond pending the start of his first-degree murder trial has been arrested on marijuana and weapons charges.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported Sunday that 20-year-old Danny Ray Dednam of North Little Rock is being held without bail in the Pulaski County jail.

Dednam was free pending the Jan. 31 start of his trial in the September 2015 shooting death of 22-year-old Keon Woodson outside a convenience store. Dednam faces charges of first-degree murder and four counts of committing a terroristic act.

His attorneys say Dednam shot Woodson in self-defense when Woodson tried to rob him.
