“La Grange,” which originally peaked at #41 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1974, this week debuted at #14 on the latest Hot Rock Songs chart, which is based on streaming, sales and airplay.

During the most recent tracking week, the tune notched 1.4 million streams and sold 2,000 downloads in the U.S., respectively increasing 16% and 85% from the previous week, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.

“Sharp Dressed Man,” meanwhile, debuted at #14 on the Hot Rock Songs tally. The track amassed 1.6 million streams, a 13% spike, and 1,000 downloads sold, a 42% spike. In 1983, the song reached #8 on Billboard‘s Mainstream Rock Songs airplay chart and #56 on the Hot 100.

Also during the most recent tracking week, ZZ Top’s catalog on the whole enjoyed an 80% increase in on-demand streams, a 78% spike in song downloads and an 89% sales boost in equivalent album units over the previous week.

ZZ Top recently announced the postponement of a five-date March residency in Las Vegas because of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. The Rock & Roll Hall of Famers’ next scheduled gig is an April 22 show in El Paso, Texas, although many of their concerts could be in jeopardy of postponement due to the crisis.
