The Mountain Home City Council will consider repealing three ordinances Thursday night that established a special election in May concerning construction of the Mountain Home Community Complex. The meeting is slated for 6 p.m. in the council chambers of the Mountain Home Municipal Building. During the meeting, the city will be practicing social distancing due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with council members seated separately to avoid coming in direct contact with each other.Mountain Home City Clerk Brian Plumlee says the meeting remains open to the public, but some public attendees may be required to stand in different areas of the building to maintain social distancing. The meeting will be broadcast live on XL7-TV in Mountain Home, as well as the XL7 Facebook page.

“We’re asking the general public to watch the meeting on XL7-TV, due to the current situation with COVID-19,” says Plumlee. “Minutes of the meeting will be made available by the city clerk upon request. I’ll be monitoring the XL7-TV Facebook page on my phone, so the public can leave comments there that will be relayed to the council if needed.”

The council will also review minutes from its March meetings and consider any old business, according to the meeting’s agenda.
