The National Weather Service and the Arkansas Forestry Commission have issued warnings regarding burning under current weather conditions.
The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for Thursday for portions of Missouri, including Howell, Ozard and Taney counties.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity and dry fuels can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
Weather forecasters recommend against any outdoor burning in the impacted areas Thursday because of low humidity and strong wind coupled with warmer temperatures could cause any fire to get out of control quickly.
