New hotel tops MH January building permits list

A new hotel tops the building permits list for January, according to a report from the City of Mountain Home Building Inspection Department.

The permit was issued to Americinn, with “hotel, motel and cabins” listed as the type of structure. A social media post notes “Americinn is an American hotel franchise founded in 1984 in the suburban Twin Cities. The chain is a mid-priced, limited-service hotel.”

Integrity Construction is listed on the report as the contractor for the $6.2 million project to be located at 290 Drillers Drive. The project will cover 34,327 square feet.

A second sizable permit was issued to Jetton General Contracting on behalf of Walmart. The project carries a price tag of $2.8 million and will cover 220,167 square feet, according to the report.

A permit was issued to Rio Burrito, a restaurant, at 609 Baker Street. Contractor for the $20,000 project is The Dels. The restaurant’s square footage is listed at 1,600.

The expansion of the Glenbriar Commons 55+ development continues, with four additional building permits issued to Leisure Homes.

The report lists two of the permits issued for duplexes and two for three-or-four family homes. The 3,592-square-foot duplexes have a construction value of $300,000 each, while the other homes have individual values of $450,000. T&E Contractor is building the homes along Ontario and Huron courts.

A permit was issued to Walt McKay for a residential remodel, located at 475 South Hickory Street. Justice Construction is serving as the contractor for the 4,150-square-foot project, with a construction value of $300,000.

The remaining permits were issued for signs. Those permits were issued to
– Arkansas Signs & Banners on behalf of Walmart with a construction value of $15,500;
– Gibson Sign Mart on behalf of On The Way with a construction value of $6,000;
– DiJohn Sign on behalf of Alectrona’s Majestic Tan, LLL, with a construction value of $260; and
– Simply Blessed with a construction value of $100.

Total construction value of the 12 permits issued in January was $10.8 million.

The cost of all permits issued for the month of January totaled $23,790, including the actual cost of building, electric, mechanical and plumbing permits, lots splits and mowing fees.
