Grinder hired to coach boys’ basketball at Norfork

In the same meeting in which the Norfork School Board accepted the resignation of its boys’ basketball coach, they also named his successor. During Tuesday’s special meeting, the board unanimously accepted the recommendation of Superintendent Chip Layne to hire Jeff Grinder to lead the Panther program.

Grinder says he is excited about his new opportunity.

Grinder comes to Norfork after spending the past season as an assistant girls’ coach at Bentonville West High School in Centerton. Prior to his time with the Lady Wolverines, he has also coached in other areas of Arkansas and New Mexico.

Grinder is inheriting a program with a tradition of winning, and he says he is hoping to build on that.
