MHHS baseball team falls to Valley View in state tourney

The Mountain Home High School baseball team’s season came to an end in the first round of the Class 5A State Tournament Thursday at Marion. After the Bombers scored the first three runs of the game, Valley View took over, and the game was called in the sixth inning with the Blazers winning 13-3.

Dillon Drewry, Jacob Czanstkowski and Masen Walker hit three straight singles in the first inning, and Walker’s hit drove Drewry home. Later in the inning, Reece Ducker added an RBI single for Czanstkowski to cross the plate, and Walker scored the third run on a passed ball.

Drewry was 2-for-3 on the day with a run; Czanstkowski went 1-for-2, scored a run, drove in another and drew a walk; and Walker was 1-for-2 with a run and an RBI and was hit by a pitch.

Mountain Home’s final record for the year is 18-10.
