Thursday golf results include MH boys, Salem girls winning at Big Creek

The Mountain Home High School golf teams hosted Salem and Harrison Thursday at Big Creek Golf and Country Club.
The Bombers won the boys’ side with a total of 323. The Goblins finished second at 331, and the Greyhounds were third at 409. Harrison’s Berkley Knapp was the medalist with a 75, and Mountain Home had the next three positions. Ian Ellison ended up second at one stroke back, Saylon Elmore took third place with an 81, and Cody Cormican finished fourth with an 82. Jackson Taylor was Salem’s top golfer with a 94.
The Lady Bombers were third on the girls’ side at 444. Salem won the event at 415, and Harrison was second at 433. Abby Edens of Mountain Home won the medalist honor with an 86, and teammate Anna Torres ended up fifth with a 103. Salem’s Chloe Taylor took second place with a 95, and fellow Lady Greyhound Katie Fish finished in a tie for third place with Harrison’s Brianne Bonds after both shot a 98.

Elsewhere Flippin’s boys were able to pick up the win at Diamond Hills Country Club in Diamond City. The Bobcats’ team total was 241. Valley Springs was second at 278, and Bergman was third at 283.
Flippin’s Truett Lindsey was the medalist with a 79, and teammates Tucker Thompson and Hunter Lindsey were tied for second at two strokes back. Bergman’s Kaden Ponder finished fourth with an 82, and Flippin’s Cody Downes and Valley Springs’ Levie Carey were tied for fifth after each shot an 85. Marcus Field had a 110 for Ozark Mountain.
Stevie Jennings of Valley Springs was the medalist on the girls’ side with a 94. Ozark Mountain’s Jasmin Fletcher was second with a 126, and Bergman’s Hallie Chism ended up third with a 129. Shayla Stowe led Flippin with a 140.
