The Mountain Home High School tennis teams had a successful home opener Tuesday as they defeated Russellville.
The Bomber boys topped the Cyclones 3-1. Landon Horne won his singles match in straight sets, and Mountain Home also got straight set wins in doubles play from the team of Pierce Blackmon and Finley Chafin and the team of Noah Recktenwald and Strat Rucker.
The Lady Bombers also beat Russellville 3-1. Mary Charles McConnell picked up a singles victory in straight sets, and the team of Nadia and Bianca Talbot and the team of Kelsey Blackwell and Bella Dotson won their doubles matches in straight sets.
In addition, Mountain Home won 4-2 in junior varsity action.
