Viola finished third in the Class 1A State Girls’ Golf Tournament Tuesday at Mountain Ranch Golf Club in Fairfield Bay. The Lady Longhorns were 14 strokes behind the runners-up from Armorel. Lead Hill ended up seventh in the tournament. The championship trophy went to Greers Ferry West Side.
Viola had two golfers receiving All-State honors. Kailey Hallmark took sixth place with a 106, and teammate Emily Martin finished seventh with a 108.
