
Basketball makes up the local schedule and includes the continuation of the Arvest Bank Tournament at Flippin.
The semifinals will be played in the new gym. On the girls’ side, Norfork and Bergman tip off at 4, and Salem meets Mountain View at 7. On the boys’ bracket, Mountain View faces Kingston at 5:30, and Omaha takes on Jasper at 8:30.
The consolation semifinals will be held in the old gym. In the girls’ games, Ozark Mountain and Alpena get underway at 4, and Yellville-Summit plays Omaha at 7. In boys’ action, Yellville-Summit will be paired with Lead Hill at 5:30, and Cotter faces Flippin at 8:30.
A few area teams will compete on the third day of the Highland Classic. Both of Melbourne’s junior high teams take on the host Junior Rebels starting with the girls’ game at 4, and Viola will have two girls’ games against Cave City beginning with the junior high at 6:30.
Elsewhere on the high school level, Calico Rock hosts Concord, Mammoth Spring travels to Paragould to take on Crowley’s Ridge Academy, Valley and Springs entertains Berryville for two boys’ games.
