Noah Chagnon Named AHSCA Boys Track and Field Coach of the Year

Mountain Home Bomber boys track and field head coach Noah Chagnon has been named the AHSCA Track and Field Coach of the Year for a second time.

This season, under the leadership of Chagnon, the Bombers were able to win the Class 5A state title by 54 points, one of the largest margins in recent memory. In addition, they were also able to secure the indoor track and field state championship along with the overall academic state title in boys track and field.

Chagnon is honored to receive this award for the second straight year, but says at the end of the day, this is a team award also.

Chagnon also states that, when he began his coaching career, he did not expect to coach track, let alone win a statewide award for coaching it.

Under Chagnon’s 4 year tenure as head coach, the Bombers have finished no worse than state runner up in boys track and field.
