The 3rd annual Yellville 4th of July celebration will kick off Friday at 5 in the city park. Led by a committee of community minded residents the evening will feature live music by DJ Peace, food vendors, activities for children and a fireworks show planned for dark.Last year the celebration brought in over a 1000 visitors from around Marion County to the park. Those concerned about hot temperatures will be able to access the city’s splash pad which is scheduled to be operating through the whole evening.

For event volunteer Katie Ramsey the fireworks are a highlight but don’t compare to the sense of community she feels with her neighbors in Yellville.

One change this year is a request for participants to make a small donation to support the cost of hosting the event.
