Jayla Yonkers commits to MSSU

Another Lady Bomber Basketball player has committed to play at the next level. Jayla Yonkers has committed to play at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri.

Yonkers, a 5’11 guard who received All-Conference honors and averaged 10.1 points per game last season, missed the last quarter of the season with an ankle injury. But Yonkers says she feels as good as ever.

Yonkers had offers from Central Arkansas, Harding, Oral Roberts, Pitt State and many other Division 1 and 2 schools but Jayla explains why she ultimately settled on Missouri Southern State University.

The recruiting process can be tiring for an athlete, and Yonkers says it was imperative to her to commit before her season.
