The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock District have been working on a major roadwork, paving and park-enhancement project at Cranfield Park on Norfork Lake.

While camping reservations have had to be canceled because of high water levels, the park is expected to remain closed to ensure crews can safely complete their work. The improvements are part of ongoing planned upgrades, including enhancements to boat ramps, additional parking in normal and high-water areas and improved park entry and exit points.

Chief Ranger for the Corp of Engineers at Norfork and Bull Shoals Lakes, Dylan Edwards says the parking lot portion of the project is nearing completion adding nearly 100 additional parking spots.

The boat ramp itself will be getting worked on as well, as soon as the lake levels allow it.
