A local attorney has announced his candidacy for Circuit Judge of the 14th district which is comprised of Baxter, Marion, Boone and Newton counties. Ben Burnett, who has a law office in Mountain Home and lives in Marion County, is running for the position that is being vacated by the retirement of longtime judge John Putman.
Burnett says running for the office of circuit judge is something he has always wanted to do, and if elected, he intends to work on the drug problem in the area.
