
The Mountain Home MacLeod American Legion baseball team was defeated by Conway in the State Tournament Tuesday night despite leading by four runs, with a final score of 13 to 8.
Jasper Mott stepped on the mound to start the game for MacLeod, giving up four hits and six runs over four innings, striking out three and walking five. Rowan Askew and Wade Miller were a one-two punch in the lineup each driving in two runs. Going into the fifth inning, Mountain Home had a 6-5 lead, but Conway flipped the game on its head, scoring eight runs in the fifth to go up 13-6.
The Mountain Home MacLeod team will take on Huntsville in the finals of the loser’s bracket Wednesday with first pitch set for 3.
