Mountain Home Lockeroom rolled to a doubleheader sweep of Manila on Friday at Lester White Field in Cooper Park, taking the first game 17-5 and the second 16-1.

In the opener, Lockeroom erupted for eight runs in the first inning, capitalizing on a Manila error before Xander McCandlis launched a two-run homer to left. Mason Sinclair added an RBI single and Nate Henderson drove in two with a groundout. Another error in the second made it 8-0.

Lockeroom piled on with an eight-run third, highlighted by RBI hits from Cash Arnhart, McCandlis, Ryder McClain, Jackson Corp and Sinclair. McClain and Sinclair each had two hits, and both Sinclair and McCandlis drove in three runs.

Jordan Corbett earned the win, tossing two scoreless innings with three strikeouts. Lockeroom relievers Henderson, Arnhart and Sinclair combined to shut down Manila the rest of the way.

In Game 2, Manila scored first, but Lockeroom answered quickly, tying it in the second and breaking the game open with a seven-run third inning. Hayden Hyslip delivered a two-run single to cap the frame. Lockeroom added eight more runs in the fourth, fueled by four consecutive bases-loaded walks and a three-run double by Arnhart.

Owen Hyslip got the win in relief, tossing a hitless inning. Starter Hyslip allowed one run over one inning, and relievers Ethan Light, Maddex Chism and Owen Guffey held Manila scoreless the rest of the way.

Lockeroom racked up 11 hits in the nightcap, with Light and McClain each collecting two. Six players drove in two runs apiece, and the team drew nine walks, led by Hyslip and Aidan Shrable with two each.

Mountain Home Lockeroom travels to Heber Springs on Wednesday.
