Mountain Home Public Schools to host district-wide open house Thursday

Mountain Home Public Schools will hold its annual district-wide open house Thursday from 1 to 7.

Students and families will have the opportunity to visit campuses, meet teachers and staff, pick up schedules, and prepare for the first day of school. The open house spans all district campuses and is designed to help students get acclimated ahead of the new academic year.

KTLO, Classic Hits and the Boot News spoke with Mountain Home Public Schools Superintendent, Allyson Dewey who says she is excited to welcome students back to school.

Pinkston Middle School added lockers over the summer, and Dewey says students will quickly get the hang of using them.

The event is open to all students and parents within the district. School officials encourage families to attend at any point during the six-hour window.

The first day of school for Mountain Home students is scheduled for Tuesday, August 12.
