Care Center Ministries continues to help Twin Lakes Area citizens in need

CareCenter Ministries began in 1986 in Rockwell, Texas and has since grown to reach thousands of people, including those in Mountain Home. CareCenter Ministries Mountain Home opened in 2015 when a former participant of the program in Texas, Ty Cotter, returned to Arkansas to serve his hometown community.Cotter says the organization, which is a faith-based organization helping those with addictions or a life controlling issue, has continued to grow since its start three years ago.

One of the other areas of ministry is a new women’s home.

The program for men and women is a residential, one-year program focusing on recovery.

Along with recovery, the program helps participants with job placement, money management, paying fines and a variety of other essentials. The program is free to all and there is no wait list for those wishing to take part.

Additionally, those who participate in the program and wish to continue their religious studies have the opportunity to earn an associates degree.
