A Fulton County man is now facing a combined 35 offenses in three open cases, after being arrested and charged with this wife in connection with a marijuana grow operation.

According to the probable cause affidavit in the latest case, 31-year-old Blake Martin and his wife, 36-year-old Angelita Martin, have been arrested and charged with drugs and weapons-related offenses following reports over the past year alleging the couple has been selling controlled substances from their residence.

Officers learned the Martins were in the process of buying property in the Wild Cherry area of Fulton County for possible use for a grow operation.

Last Wednesday, officers with the 16th Judicial District Drug Task Force, Arkansas Game and Fish and the Drug Enforcement Agency were conducting ERAD operations when spotters allegedly observed marijuana growing on the Martins’ property.

Officers reportedly located 19 plants. Inside a house-type structure on the property, officers allegedly located marijuana growing manuals, a glass jar containing green vegetable material and mail to the couple’s main residence located along Ken Drive in Salem. An older model vehicle was parked in a way underneath a lean-to shed in an attempt to conceal it.

A search warrant was obtained for the Ken Drive residence where officers from the Salem Police Department, Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and the drug task force reportedly located an itemized list noting 15 items linked to the sale of controlled substances.

The search warrant was executed while Blake Martin was incarcerated in the Fulton County jail in connection with 12 new felony charges. On Aug. 17, he was arrested and charged with two counts of battery, one count of aggravated assault on a corrections/law enforcement officer, four counts of aggravated assault, all felonies, as well as misdemeanor counts of fleeing, driving while intoxicated, disorderly conduct, refusal to submit to chemical test, resisting arrest and careless prohibited driving.

The charges stem from incidents when he allegedly tried to run a vehicle off the road with his car and fled from police. He later fought with an officer, sticking his fingers in his eyes, while yelling at his wife to film the altercation.
