The Baxter County Historical and Genealogical Society has launched a newly redesigned website aimed at making local history and research resources easier to access across a wide range of devices.
The new website, located at BaxterCountyHistory.org, went online in April and was developed by ArkansasWeb.com.
According to the society, the updated responsive design automatically adapts to desktops, laptops, tablets and smartphones, giving visitors a more convenient and user friendly experience whether they are researching local history at home on a desktop computer or on the go from a mobile device.
The redesigned site features expanded access to information about the organization, upcoming meetings and events, museum exhibits, historical research resources and vintage photographs from around Baxter County. Visitors can also submit online research requests related to Baxter County history and residents.
The new website will be updated regularly with new photographs, historical information and meeting details.
