Authorities are investigating after the body of a man was recovered from the Arkansas River near the River Market in Little Rock Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, investigators are working to identify the man.
Officials said Little Rock Fire Department crews were called to the river behind Ottenheimer Plaza shortly after 1:00 p.m. after someone reported seeing what appeared to be a body in the water.
MEMS and fire rescue crews responded to the scene and recovered the body from the river.
The investigation remains ongoing.
