The Arkansas State University System is accepting applications for a new scholarship program aimed at helping Arkansas adults pursue college degrees and workforce training.
The privately funded ASU System Educational Scholarship Fund is available to adults who are U.S. citizens, have lived in Arkansas for at least 13 months and have spent at least three years out of high school without attending college.
Scholarship assistance may be used at any ASU System campus, including Arkansas State University-Mountain Home, as well as through online programs.
Officials say the scholarship is intended for adults whose financial or personal circumstances delayed higher education, including individuals seeking career changes, workforce certifications or advancement opportunities. Military veterans returning to school may also qualify.
Eligible students must pursue studies in fields such as business, healthcare, science, technology or vocational training. Liberal arts and legal studies are not included under the program.
Scholarship funds may cover tuition, books and related fees for the first two years of a degree plan, with additional support potentially available for later years under certain circumstances. Funding is also available for required admissions testing.
Additional eligibility details and application information are available through the ASU System website.
