The St. Louis Cardinals begin a three-game road series Tuesday night against the Athletics at Sutter Health Park.

St. Louis enters the matchup at 23-17 and sits third in the NL Central standings. The Cardinals have been led offensively by Jordan Walker, who has hit 11 home runs while batting .299 this season. Ivan Herrera has also provided a spark at the plate during a strong recent stretch.

On the mound, Andre Pallante is scheduled to start the opener for St. Louis. Pallante enters with a 3-3 record and a 4.34 ERA on the season.

The Athletics come into the series at 21-19 as both teams continue pushing through a competitive early-season race.

The Cardinals could also soon receive help on the pitching staff, as Matt Pushard is nearing a return from a knee injury after completing a rehab assignment with Triple-A Memphis.

First pitch is set for 8:40 with pregame coverage by Ameren Total Access beginning at 7:45. Tuesday’s game can be heard on KTLO AM 1240.
