Jimmie “Jim” Lee McFarland, 67, Mountain Home (Kirby)

Jimmie “Jim” Lee McFarland, 67, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away on May 10, 2026, in Mountain Home. Born on May 21, 1958, in Mountain Home, he was the son of James and Mary Maddox McFarland and was raised in the Clarkridge community he proudly called home.Jim was a hardworking man from an early age. As soon as he was old enough to work, he began operating bulldozers, a profession that became his life’s work for many years. Known for his strong work ethic and constant drive to stay busy, Jim took pride in honest labor and was happiest when working outdoors. He was united in marriage to Marsha Miller, who preceded him in death. In his spare time, Jim enjoyed fishing whenever he had the chance and loved spending time hunting in the outdoors he cherished so much.

Jim is survived by his brothers, John McFarland of Michigan, Jack McFarland of Clarkridge, Arkansas, Will McFarland, Ben (Sondra) McFarland of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and Roger (Suzanne) McFarland of Clarkridge, Arkansas; his sister, Larie Gruber of Clarkridge, Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews. The family extends special gratitude to his nephew, Harrison McFarland, for the loving care and support he provided during Jim’s final days. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Marsha.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 15, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Shannon Byrd officiating. Burial will be in Thacker Cemetery in Clarkridge, Arkansas.
