Bomber 7th grade boys win Goblin Track Meet

The Mountain Home seventh-grade track teams competed Monday evening at the Goblin Track Meet in Harrison, bringing around 50 athletes to the event.

The Bomber boys captured the team championship with 225.5 points, finishing ahead of Harrison with 157 and Omaha with 98.5. On the girls side, the Lady Bombers placed third with 104.5 points in a meet that featured eight teams. Shiloh Christian won the girls title with 201 points, followed by Harrison with 144.5.

The Bomber boys had strong performances in the relays, including first-place finishes in the 4×200 relay with a time of 1:59.34 by Asher Hicks, Hudson Morgan, Landry Brown and Landry Dunn, and the 4×400 relay with a time of 4:36.0 by Pruett Sutton, Wyatt Foret, Daxtyn Small and Jace Bickford. Mountain Home also finished second in the 4×100 relay and second in the 4×800 relay.

For the girls, the 4×400 and 4×800 relay teams both finished second, while the 4×100 relay placed third.

Several Bombers also recorded first-place finishes in individual events. Pruett Sutton won both the boys high jump at 4 feet 11 inches and the triple jump at 31 feet 5 inches. Ethan Forbus captured first place in the long jump with a mark of 15 feet 1½ inches.

On the track, Jace Bickford won the boys 1,600-meter run in 5:34.64 and the 800-meter run in 2:31.10. Lexi Fenner led the Lady Bombers with a first-place finish in the girls 100-meter hurdles with a time of 20.49.

Additional top finishes included Hudson Morgan taking second in the 300-meter hurdles, Carson Simmons placing second in the 100-meter dash and third in the 200-meter dash, and Casen Johnson finishing second in both the discus and shot put.

The meet featured eight teams from around the region competing in the junior high event.
