
Arkansas State Police troopers arrested two people Tuesday in connection with a high-speed crash near Greenbrier that left a 67-year-old woman seriously injured.
According to Arkansas State Police, the crash happened May 7 on U.S. Highway 65 when witnesses reported a Chevrolet Camaro and a Dodge Challenger were racing at a high rate of speed.
Investigators said the Camaro, driven by Katiana Edwards, 32, of Vilonia, struck a passenger vehicle as it entered U.S. Highway 65 from State Highway 25.
The driver of the passenger vehicle, a 67-year-old woman, was seriously injured in the crash and was flown by medical helicopter to UAMS in Little Rock.
Neither Edwards nor the driver of the Dodge Challenger, identified as Rakaleon Dobbins, 24, of North Little Rock, were injured.
Both were taken into custody Tuesday and transported to the Faulkner County Detention Center.
Edwards was booked on felony charges of first-degree battery, while Dobbins was charged with felony aggravated assault.
The investigation remains ongoing.
