
The Food Bank of North Central Arkansas and Arvest Bank are expressing gratitude following Tuesday’s Feed the Pack donation drive. As of Tuesday evening, more than $53,000 had been raised to support childhood hunger initiatives, including the Backpack Program, summer meal programs and after-school assistance efforts through the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas.Now in its 16th year, Arvest Bank’s Million Meals campaign collects monetary donations throughout April and May across the bank’s four-state footprint as part of its largest community service initiative. Selena Barber, community marketing specialist with Arvest Bank, said watching the growing donation totals through the day highlighted the generosity of the community.

Donations to Feed the Pack will be accepted through midnight Tuesday. Contributions can be made by visiting Food Bank of North Central Arkansas and selecting the “Donate Now” option. Arvest Bank’s Million Meals campaign will also continue accepting donations at all Arvest branch locations through May 31.
