No. 12 Arkansas closes regular season with road series at Kentucky

University of Arkansas closes out the regular season this weekend with a three-game Southeastern Conference baseball series against University of Kentucky.

The No. 12 Razorbacks enter the weekend with a 34-18 overall record and a 15-12 mark in SEC play. Kentucky comes into the series at 30-18 overall and 12-15 in conference action.

Thursday’s opener is scheduled for 5:30 at Kentucky Proud Park in Lexington. The series continues Friday at 5:30 before concluding Saturday at 1.
Arkansas has won six of its last seven series against Kentucky and can secure its ninth consecutive 18-win SEC season with a three-game sweep.

The Razorbacks are one of only two programs in conference history to record at least 18 SEC wins in eight straight seasons, joining Louisiana State University.

Left-hander Hunter Dietz is expected to start Thursday’s opener for Arkansas. Dietz enters the game with a 7-2 record and a 3.22 earned run average.

Kentucky is expected to counter with right-hander Nate Harris, who is 4-2 with a 5.72 ERA.

Friday’s scheduled starter for Kentucky is left-hander Ben Cleaver, while Saturday’s projected starter is right-hander Jaxon Jelkin. Arkansas has not yet announced starters for Friday or Saturday.
